About Us

My name is Edward Hosack, but most people know me as Ed. I hail from Hammond, Louisiana, but I have called Japan home since 2011. The beauty of Japan's landscapes and its rich culture have captivated me, and I’ve embraced my life here wholeheartedly. 

As a lifelong outdoorsman, I find immense joy in activities like fishing and hunting, where I can connect with nature and unwind. Over the years, I have discovered that my true passion lies in sharing these experiences with others. Teaching people new life skills not only brings me fulfillment, but it also allows me to witness their growth and transformation.

For the past decade, I have had the privilege of being a licensed saltwater fishing guide, serving the Iwakuni community. This role has enabled me to introduce both locals and visitors to the wonders of fishing in Japan’s beautiful waters. 

Recently, I accomplished a personal goal by obtaining my gun and hunting license in Japan, allowing me to expand my outdoor experiences even further. I look forward to continuing my journey, helping others develop their skills, and fostering a love for the outdoors in those around me.
